I've just started using VB and so far learning off youtube and this forums.
I embedded a player to play a game trailer but every time I try open it I get this error. Without the player the form opens fine. This is very irritating, I cannot find a solution.

My first guess would be that your project is targeting AnyCPU, which is the default, and you are running on a 64-bit system. Many, if not most, COM components don't have 64-bit versions so, if you want to use them, you have to target the x86 platform, forcing your app to run in 32-bit mode on all systems, rather than 32-bit mode on x86 and 64-bit mode on x64.
