Apparently they have done something they have never done before - worked out how to get the end users to pay for it. :eek:
From what I read (BBC News?), they are going to cover the costs by charging users for international calls.

Personally I think advertising is a black hole of funding, but Google doesn't seem to agree.

THe rates to Phils seem to be cheaper as well, I might actually try this to call internationally rather than try to remember my skype password. Of course if skype has cheaper rates I'd go for them.
