no i am not. I am saying "the last airbender" film has something to do with "Avatar: The last airbender" the 60 episode cartoon series. For reasons that should be apparent they left "avatar" out of the name to prevent confusion and actually rolled back the theatrical release date an entire year as it was due to come out the same time as avatar.Quote:

I watched the film last night and that line isn't in it but "He's a bender" is. Oh how we chuckled...

2) They use at least one martial artist and four different martial art styles (one for each of the four nations and bending styles) to map out the action scenes. So an fire bender (person who can shoot flames from their hands) uses Shaolin kungfu (very aggressive looking style), while the water bender uses Tai-Chi (Very fluid looking style).
3) Lots of comedy, drama and good chemistry between the characters. It's a kid's show of course so don't expect anything gory.
4) A lot of really really original story ideas and well written personalities.

The series was FANTASTIC. Absolutely FANTASTIC.
Good show. There's a new one coming out. The grandson of Ang teaches a water bending avatar.... I'm guessing Katara and Aang had babies.
The movie was pretty bad.
I refused to even consider watching it. I'm not going to let it tarnish the series for me.
It wasn't bad but it wasn't particularly good either. If you went along with no expectations except to see a kids fantasy adventure film with some rather natty effects you'd quite enjoy it. I never saw the series but from the way I hear people talk I would suggest fans avoid the film, I really doubt it will live up to your expectations.

that chart annoys me. I had no idea most of the movies i actually hated, let alone disliked, were directed by him. Although truthfully i would give "the village" a higher rating than signs.

Haven't seen the movie. Those are the arts each of the elements are based off of in the series.
