Looking at Napster with HEdit

Just looking at the Napster code with a hexeditor a couple of minutes ago I noticed that Shawn Fanning is very keen on putting racially abusive terms into his software. (e.g. see offest 0003406E ) :(

Has anyone else noticed this I wonder

There is a fair bit of that stuff scattered around the code anyway

- the point is that this stuff isn't so cool for a multimillion dollar ($15M) venture capital backed firm to be putting out

Version 2, Beta 5, build 2243

Maybe he took all that racial crap out cuz I got BETA 9.4 Build 4853 and all I can see is "3/4" at that offset as well. It keeps informing me there is an even newer version available for download. It's a shame the upgrade from 7 to 9 completely ruined the internal mp3 playback

I have the same beta5 but mine says push esi at that offset using W32Dasm

check out UltraEdit. I use it, it's quite good. It's a 30-day job, but you can *cough*easily find a *cough* crack for it
