This is untrue, especially the part about more vet visits. Keeping your cat as indoor pet only is a better choice for you and your pet. Outside pets are exposed to more dangers then a pet kept inside. You'll spend more time in the vet dealing with parasite infections, abscesses from fights, diseases from strays/sick animals. If you feed your pet a proper diet, switch between soft and hard food, and don't overfeed them your pet will lead a long, healthy, and happy life. I've spent my whole life living with 4 or more cats in my house, the ones we kept inside always lived a much longer and healthier life then the ones we let outside.
