If you write
vb dot net forums.com (without spaces) then it looks like below
*************s.com
I noticed this in
http://www.vbforums.com/showpost.php...73&postcount=2
Why? What's wrong with that word?

Presumably at some point that name has been used as part of a spam campaign, at this site or one of the others in our group.
Yeah, I brought this up a while ago concerning a site which had some software I needed. Their url does the some thing on these forums.
Anything which is censored is either profane or has spammed us at some point. There's only those 2 reasons for a string being added to the censored list.
Ah, ok
But now I'm curious as to how www.vb dot net forums.com got marked as spam here on vbforums since it's just another vb.net programmer's forum like vbforums is.
Things only get marked as spam if they become too much effort manually - so they must have put a significant effort in to spamming us for it to get to that stage.
However, I notice that the S is not censored in your link, so it seems that a different site with a very similar name is what was censored.
Now that you mention it, http://www.vbdot netforum.com/ and http://www.vbdot netforums.com/ are two different site's and I know http://www.vbdot netforums.com/ (plural) wouldn't spam other sites, so that means your spam filter is filtering a false-positive. Might want to look into adding a .com to the http://www.vbdot netforum.com/ in the spam filter so it's not blocking a legit site.
I have a vague memory of that not being technically possible due to the forum software, and I personally have no ability to even look at the censor list - the person to mention it to is JPnyc, and the thread I linked to is an apt place to do it.
Could posts 8 and up in this thread be moved to the other one linked in here? Having this un-related conversation isn't going to help -Negative-, or anyone else reading this thread.
I'll mention all this to JPnyc as well.
Agreed - posts moved to the Feedback thread.
Joe, could you take a look at post #7 above?
