Where can I find a good documentation site about C language? Or C++, I don't know the diference. I'm not in the mood for buying a book.
A site that can teach a guy from beginner to a higher level.

C++ is an extended form of C, and supports object oriented programming concepts.
From what I have read in other threads, I can see that it's common to have programming in school. In which grade is that theached. I think that here in Portugal (a coffin shaped country) only in university, but I supose that things are diferent in other countries, no?

Programming isn't taught at my school, but it is at many, but very few teach C/C++. It's usually Pascal or Basic that gets taught.
The way I learned was cprogramming.com and these forums...if you have any question just post it here.
Vlatko: you've written that so much, you should just make your own links page :p
I am not writing that every time. I have it all in a text file and I just do copy-paste. Anyway it is easier to read it thisway than through a link.
My friend's brother is getting taught in grade 10, but he said they don't start C until 11.
I'm in grade 10. My tech teacher taught us C. It was great. I was so far ahead of all the other kids in my class. My tech teacher saw I have extreme programming potential so he gave me a 486 computer to replace my old 386.
Can someone explain what grade 10 is. Is it primary, high school or what. With how many years are you grade 10?
In India I Still learn the FORTRAN program to add 2
numbers. (Well , i'm 17 years old).
And still worse, the concerned teacher doesn't know the
subject. All the programming, I have to learn it by my
own.
When compared to i***a any country is a lot better, atleast in technology and educational system.
Vlatko: Grade 10 is high school. Typically, you'd be 14-16 years old if in here, but most of the time it's 15 and 16.
In India , upto the 10th standard (grade) the schools may or may not teach you computers. But after that you can choose if you want to do computers or biology (yuck!).
So , I chose computers. I'm finishing my 11th . They *taught* us Windows and HTML (!). I learnt C also which I didnt know. But everything is done by the book. If you shorten your code cutting off unnessecary loops , they'll mark it as wrong! Its because the teachers themselves only know what's in the book
I'm looking forward to next year coz we've got *VB* next year. And I think some java which I really want to learn.
By learning VB in 12th you will forget what you already
know. The author of the book considered himself as Bill
Gates and wrote the rest of book thinking that He
is the only computer programmer. And also I don't know
why the heck they teach StarOffice when MS Office is
pretty good.
I LEARNT JUST 20 STATEMENTS IN GW-BASIC AND A
SAME AMOUNT OF COMMANDS IN MS-DOS IN MY SCHOOL
DURING 11th. YOURS IS MUCH BETTER!!!!
During my 11th and 12th I once burnt my computer
book just because it was too low for any layman to
start with.
You are correct! The concerned teacher doesn't know
the language properly. The person who corrects our
papers may not be knowing a least bit of any
programming language. So they tend to score out
anything that is a bit advanced.
It is the mentality of Indians to supress the thinking
capability and to show their supremacy.
Also Indians give a lot of undue importance to marks.
Any fool can obtain marks by just being a bookworm. But
the books are not worth to be read and it should not
be read, if you are more interested in acquisition
of knowledge more than mere marks.
I Don't know when these things are going to change.
And i know this will n'er change untill the political
and educational system is revamped by a good person
who is good in the concerned subject.
My company are going to out source from india.
My colleague are going to visit India next few days.
We are an Australia company.
Indian have a great reputation as an expert in programming.
So, don't be sad. :)
I don't even know what is programming until I choose Degree in Computer and info Science in Uni. (19 years old)
I learnt computer drawing in primary school (10yrs-old)
but nothing good happened to me... i guess I'm not into
computer.
Sadly I'm a software engineer right now... not interested at all :(
What you are is not always in your control.
So, forget about the edu system and school teacher, they s*ck*!
come on Enough of India Bashing..
That is why I am Asking You to elect me in the next election ! :D
