Email control suggestions

Can anyone suggest a good Email control/library for VB6?
Or guide to effectively interfacing with MAPI and outlook mailboxes. (and Exchange Server) Book recomendations are also welcome.

I know of a number of email controls, but it's very important that it supports Outlook2010 and Exchange server. And obviously your standard SMTP/POP.

I am NOT looking for another localhost email server, or another SMTP application. Not wanting to sound arrogant towards them, but there are hundreds out there and I am quite sure none of them are what I am looking for. Just want to help skip over that part of the discussion :bigyello:

Those are what I was looking for. I think the Dart product is exaxtly what we need.. but you weren't kidding.. whoooo expensive :)

Does anyone have experience with Dart Communications "Mail for ActiveX"

I'll do some research on it and check out the trial.


curious, did you google those or know of them previously? what did you search for? I'm not one to post questions without googling first, but I hadn't come across them yet.

It's actually funny - I've heard of both but totally forgot what they are called so I searched for ... "best email ocx for vb6" and believe it or not both came as top two (Sponsored links of course). :)

ah.... then I don't feel so bad for not finding them :)
My search was a little more sparse "VB6 IMAP", "VB6 email"... etc :)
