I want to thank Windows.

So, I was planning to install Linux. I used a Knoppix CD and ran GParted. Halfway through resizing the Windows partition, my computer shut down. So I started up again and Windows' CHKDSK fixed everything. Thanks, Windows!

Did you try turning it off and on again?
