I've already checked the network settings both in VPC and Vista. VPC is set to use NAT using the actual network card on the PC, it's either NAT or disallow network connections altogether. In Vista both the fresh VM and the one I created last year can't access the local network or the internet, no matter how I configure it.
WinXP on the other hand works flawlessly both local network and internet using VPC's NAT. I reached a point a few weeks ago where I'll test it on Vista knowing it's not being updated and of course Win7 so if a user has a problem with a program I made and they're running Vista, I'll have to figure out how to diagnose it when the time comes, other than that this is looking like Vista is just being the problem OS as usual, nothing new.
