Instant Lock is a scamware. It's is free to download and use for some trial period (the author purposely misleads us by saying it's a freeware), and after the trial period has been over, it will ask the users to buy the software. Since their files have been locked, the easiest option for many users to get access to their locked files again is to buy the software.
And just as a side note, my company's firewall/proxy/"orwellian thought police" software has marked the instantlock site as, quote, Spyware/Malware Sources, unquote.

Let's say you're correct and the program never expires (which could never be true) , so this is not what i asked for . I ASKED FOR DIFFERENT ONE !!! i will not take the risk again and try this program for a month and have it expired and never show my folders unless i pay for it !!!Quote:

You could always protect your data by encrypting the folder with winzip or 7zip or winrar or even windows itself's zip folder support.granted the folder will still be there, but no one could open it.
i just spent time perusing the faqs on their website and it says it will not work on portable drives unless you purchase the full version, but will give you 30 day trial functionality. The lite version will not do this.Quote:
