explorer.exe::getprocaddress problem
I had the Trojan SPM/LX on my system as well as the "Explorer.exe::getprocaddress" issue that is affecting my browsers. I have both IE7 and Firefox 3.5.7 on my machine. I have taken care of the Trojan issue I believe. But have not been able to find a solution to the Explorer.exe issue. When I do a search in yahoo in either browser and then click on a results link, it reroutes me to several different advert sites. If I cut and paste the link into the browsers address bar it will take me to the site I am wishing to go to. I have tried several things. McAffee finds nothing on my system. NoLop, Malwarebytes & smitfraudfix have also found nothing on my system. (used them in taking care of the Trojan) I have found several other forum topics that seem to be about the same thing and have followed their advice and still have not been able to correct the problem. I re-installed IE7 and Firefox as well. All to no avail. Below is a HiJackThis log.... Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Re: explorer.exe::getprocaddress problem
Hey Martin! Thanks for the welcome! I had not come acrossed that specific thread. Thank you! It does however give similar advice on taking care of the Trojan SPM/LX that I have already taken care of. The Trojan seems to have been cleaned off my system using Malwarebytes software. The lingering issue seems to be an exploit in both IE7 and Firefox 3.5.7 which is not showing up in any scanning I am doing. I am getting a warning when I reboot of an "explorer.exe::procaddress" error. I have reinstalled both IE7 and Firefox to no avail. When I do a search on yahoo or google and then click on a link in the results of the search. I am rerouted to advert sites. So it's very annoying. Thank you for your help though....

Re: explorer.exe::getprocaddress problem
Did you uninstall those browsers before you tried reinstalling them?
Re: explorer.exe::getprocaddress problem
Oh and FYI in the future if you post something and you don't want something like :p turning into :p then check the Disable smilies in text option that you'll find below this window. (I did it for you)
Re: explorer.exe::getprocaddress problem
Hey Martin...
Thankyou for the heads up on the smiley's. I'll have to remember that. As for the browser reinstalling. yes, I un-installed both and then rebooted before I re-installed them.
I'm starting to get a lot of pop up as well as the day has gone on. I set my pop up stopper setting to the highest and it is stopping them but you can tell something is trying to get thru....haha....
Thanks again for the heads up....

Re: explorer.exe::getprocaddress problem
Okay then I'm out of ideas except to direct you to Antionline which is one of our sister sites. They specialize in things like this.
Re: explorer.exe::getprocaddress problem
