Perhaps you're thinking of some other centrally-located item usually nestled within a rubber chicken.
Maybe... I'm not sure how specialist an item it is though. Surprising that you don't see them more often considering their many uses.

I never realized there was a pressing need for specialized rubber chickens............might I ask what some of the uses for these items might be???

I'm a little confused on the pulley thing........is that something you pull to make it speak or a pulley as in a wheel and rope arrangement???
