try adding <br> after each image, even if it is the only image in a TD.
that is if the spacing problem is what you are talking about.

thx, I did that, now go back and open in netscape, how to I fix trhe bgimage problem?
ok, here is the thing. I have noticed from past experiences that in netscape, a TD background image has to be a certain size. Not really a certain size, it just has to be big. Don't ask me exactly how big, because i don't know, don't ask me why, because i don't know.
for example, a 10px X 10px image will not work, but a 10px X 150px will.
so, try making your backgrounds ever so slightly bigger until they work.

The reason why it doest work is becuase the tables are not stretching the full length of the cell, can this be fixed?
