Weird Windows Flicker Problem, Help!!!
I'm unsure if this is a hardware or software problem so I posted this here. I have just done a fresh install of windows7 x64 RTM (Erased my XP Partition completely) and installed all my applications.
Computer Specs.
Core2 Quad
9800GT
4GB DDR2 1066
Etc.
However I seem to be getting this flicker problem which makes it hard to navigate. It's a little hard to explain, basically if you have a window open you see the edge of the windows disappear for a millisecond but does this every second, so when you click on a file sometimes it doesn't select it and you have to click on the file again. Same goes for clicking the windows start button and other programs. It is really fustration and almost unusable (jumplists disappear within a second after being clicked).
All drivers are installed and I've installed the latest drivers from Nvidia website but no luck so far. Refresh rates and res are all correct also. I don't think it's a monitor issue as it shouldn't affect me clicking the file or start menu.
Has anyone experienced this issue? If so please help me solve this.

Sounds like a graphic card problem! What type of graphics card do you have and is it configured properly?
Re: Weird Windows Flicker Problem, Help!!!
It's a Nvidia 9800GT 512MB card.
By Configured I suppose you mean all drivers installed?

That and changing the settings in the control panel!
Re: Weird Windows Flicker Problem, Help!!!
The only thing have only tried changing a few things in Nvidia Control Panel. eg: Disabling And Enabling GPU Acceleration. Adjusting Image 3D Image settings from Quality to balanced and performance. Changing Resolution to lower settings, etc. But no success so far.
However what I find strange is that this never happened to me when I was running the Windows 7 RC. The RC ran Flawlessly.
I also notice IE8 doesn't seem to flicker like everything else.

i have. It wasn't what i thought. It was a wierd keyboard driver issue. When i disabled my logitech control panel it quit doing it. I just had this problem yesterday. It would unselect stuff i clicked on, etc.
Re: Weird Windows Flicker Problem, Help!!!
Oh ok, i'm using a Microsoft Keyboard I will look into this once I get home. I wonder if it's the new Nvidia Drivers causing the problem?
On another note. I've also notice other errors in my event log. Some sort of Disk Error Event 11?
What ever Microsoft did from RC to RTM wasn't good in my case as the RC was Perfect.
Why oh why did I delete my XP Partition:(
Re: Weird Windows Flicker Problem, Help!!!
i actually was having the error in vista. I think it's related to a patch released in the last week or so. Due to the sheer volume of hardware in this system i am constantly fighting hardware incompatibilities. For example: They don't even make a windows driver for my firewire tuner, and windows recognizes it as a digital camera. Plus there are 2 remotes (and a 3rd unused hookup for one), 3 tuners, one radio, a tft display, etc. It's an installer's nightmare.
