A bad attempt at a viral site set up by Sony Pictures?
That is pretty weird... obviously not serious but a bit wrong that they are suggesting the world will end and lots of people will die in 2012 but not stating anywhere that its just a joke/advert. I'm sure some stupid people would believe it!
It's interesting. I read a book titled Mary's Message to the World. I think the message is good even if the predictions that are given in it are off to some degree. It's supposedly a message given by Mary the mother of Jesus to a lady Annie Kirkwood. There are a good number of predictions given in it that were made back in the late 80s. Some of the predictions are on and some are off or else they are on but the time element is off. The heart of the message I think is very good and is about developing a personal relationship with God, prayer, getting along with others, cleaning out negative vibrations from your consciousness, etc.
The predictions are part of the message. She says that we are now in the end times that were spoken about in the book of Revelation in the Bible. She says that our planet is going through a transition some of which will be rather violent but she says that it's only a transition and not the end of the world. According to the predictions many people will lose their lives and the world population will be greatly reduced. She said the predictions can be modified by our behavior, thoughts, prayer, etc. Some of the major stuff was supposed to happen back in the 90s. The latest reports I read from Annie Kirkwood's internet site said that the major cataclysmic events were pushed backed to the year 2012. That's what made me think about this book when I saw this thread.
I'm wondering if the person or persons who founded this IHC were influenced by the messages that came through Annie Kirkwood. Shirley MacLaine I know followed the messages and interviewed Annie Kirkwood.
My attitude is that I keep an open mind. If none of it happens that's fine but be ready for anything and everything. Paramahansa Yogananda said you should be able to stand unshaken amidst the crash of breaking worlds. When you can dematerialize your body at will then you're ready for any catastrophe you can imagine and have nothing to fear. Until then keep on developing yourself. Things are possible that most people don't think are possible. Jesus said, "Nothing is impossible to him who believes" and he told us that we can do what he can do. The potential to do the miracles he performed is within us all but don't worry about trying to do miracles. Just try to keep on improving yourself in whatever way you can.
If people think I'm a kook to believe in any of this they are doing me a favor. In other words don't be concerned with what others think of you.
Can we think you a kook without giving any specific reason? I hate to be pigeon holed, but I generally prefer to think of people as kooks.
I remember you called me a wacko before. I think I'd prefer you think of me as a kook but then you don't like to be pigeon holed so if you want to think me a wacko or a kook or whatever that's ok.
Funny thing is we aren't even certain that our calendar year of 2012 actually even aligns with the Mayan calendar pointing to that specific point in time. We have changed the calendar so many times over the years, no one really knows what year it is ;)
Im not keen on pigeons or their holes..
