I've actually had that article for a couple of months now, since I work for Dax ;) He sent me the preview...
Mostly I'd agree, but it takes a lot of risk.

I like the part where he says that having a nice degree is not the same as having talent. I would have to agree with that.
He's not a programmer, but our sys admin has a bachelors degree in 'computer-something-or-other' and if he didn't learn it in college, he won't try it, do it or research it. I think he's doing himself a disservice by not learning new skills.

Strange guy, he must do virtually nothing in that case since they teach you pretty much ***** all that you'd be using every day at work.

yeah he will certainly cause himself problems for the future if he carrys on that way.
Tell me about it - It's gotten so bad that we've had to go outside of our company and hire a contractor to do what he should be doing. He's on his last legs but for now it's just frustrating!!! ARGHHH!!!
