hi all, today was the first day I tried learning/using 3D studio max. Here is what i came up with by the end of the day:
http://members.aol.com/dimava/cheapmatrix.swf
just forgot to add in the bullets
and the background
and make the person look more real
but this was only after my first day
-
Uhh... what person? Looks like a plane to me.
Anyway it looks pretty good for your first day :) But then I have no idea how to use 3DS.
-
I didn't notice it was that bad
its kinda of like the scene in the matrix when neo is doding bullets
but ofcourse mine looks like $h!t
but hey, its my first day
-
Ahh I seeeee... they really ought to be leaning backwards, not forwards.... or if they are supposed to be leaning back, their knees are bending the wrong way :)
-
how are the knees bending the wrong way?
click it, then right click the Flash file, Un check PLAY
and then click REWIND
-
So err... which are the legs?
-
green = legs
blue = body
yellow = head
red = arms
-
So the bend in the green bit is the knee right? If it is then it shouldn't be pointing down like it is...
-
the very bottom is the foot
the knee goes right into the body
-
-
i made it a little more clearer to understand that the person is not moving, only the camera is:

-
BTW, the last one was only 60k
-
-
thats awesome dimava, i wish i knew how to do something like that. Did you do that by just fiddling around? Did you use and tutorials/books for 3DS MAX?
-
first i tried fiddleing around, got no where
then i read some general online tutorials, and from there I fiddled around
i spent about 5 hours on it today (maybe even more)
-
Hey wow Dimava. On my first day all I could do was create rotating objects, like cubes and pyramids. Obviously, you will be far better than I was... I don't have it anymore.
