dowloading file through ftp

hey every body
am having a problem in writing a program that downloead a file from a remot machine any help please??
could winsock help any way??
am using vb6

you can do with winsock, but probably easier to use inet control or ftp APIs
there are many examples posted in the forum if you do a search
