MS Office conflicts VB6 startup

I've searched a couple times, didnt find anything relevant to this...

I just installed MS Office 2007 and when i start vb6, i get an installer type box showing up and stalling VB6 startup for a couple minutes. It isn't a big problem, but damn, it bugs me.

Office IS the cause of it, because i installed nothing before, and i was programming a bit earlier.

I doubt it but would still check what add-ins are being loaded - hopefully one of them conflicts.
I would also consider reinstalling VB6 - sometime order makes the difference.

but if i uninstall office, itll stop, because it's happened before.

What Rhino is suggesting is that you go into VB and change the setting for each of your add-ins so that none try to load when VB starts. Once you've done that, exit and restart VB and see what happens.

yep, it still happens. turned everything off, turned off startup...restarted... nothin. :(

Can you also post a snapshot of the following

1) Snapshot of the above installer type box
2) Project=>References
3) Project=>Components (All 3 tabs with selected items)
4) Tools Add-in Manager

You can upload the snapshot in a word file and then attach the word file here. If possible attach the snapshots for both scenarios i.e before and after you install MS-Office.

Also just curious, what OS are you using?
