I don't think there is much need for it - because it usually isn't very helpful to the poster.
In this particular case you asked the poster to watch nearly 2 minutes of video rather than reading a sentence or two - they already knew about the menu editor, just not how to add code for it (or what code to perform the actions they want).
If this was a poll, I'd have to say ixnay on you tube integration... two reasons... 1) I dare not think the chaos that would ensure in chit chat... 2) Some people have things from places like youtube blocked when at work... as it is, when I miss out on half of the pics that people embed in their posts because it's hosted at a site that's been blocked.
But that's just my opinion. BEsides.... you could still just post the link to the vid... which you would have to do anyways.

I think a link to the video should be more than enough. If the poster want's to view it he will view it anyways.
If we embed videos in the posts, we will lose site visitors (solution seekers, solution providers, guests etc.) who have slow or limited bandwidth connections in particular, since the videos take up much of bandwidth.
plus, the last time I looked... videos aren't searchable.

Also, any content not on this site will could be taken offline or moved at any time and links can be broken quickly.
I bet if we searched through posts that are 5-8 years old, there are probably a lot of broken links in there.
That's a very good point - we regularly (perhaps 5 times a month?) get people posting in old threads asking if anybody has a saved copy of the code that was linked to.
Sometimes it is because the page has been deleted, sometimes because the entire site has been moved/deleted, and most often because a site has simply changed its URL naming convention (like here we currently have showthread.php? , but it has been different things in the past)
This is a programming site and youtube embedded posts are more for the multi-media content sites. Remember we would have a nightmare trying to moderate video postings. At my work, YouTube blocked and internet bandwidth is throttled back. IMO its pointless on this site and this sites target audience.
Another point is that some companies allow sites that are part of our jobs resources, ie searching for code snippets or problem solving, but I know some members that have posted that it got blocked mearly because of the Chit Chat forum let alone YouTube videos.
Most of the ones I've looked at demonstrate little besides how to cut and paste or drag and drop anyway. If you're having trouble with posted text and manuals maybe getting your reading comprehension level up would be time better spent.
I hear there are some fine alternatives to Ritalin now too. :p
@Fazi
You mean add tags?
I have to agree with si the ability to post videos wold lead to an increase of spam in chat chit. Also what is wrong with just adding the link to the video? An embedded would probably take longer to load too! Thus if so it would make the forum slower.
With several youtube embeds in a threads page it will have to parse the posts for the youtube code tag and replace it with the proper html embed code. This can slow the page loads where the tags are used so on a large site like this it "could" make an impact.
