How do I delete a thread?

How do you delete a thread when you ask a question then answer it before you get a response?

I'd rather not leave a stupid question with no responses as resolved and look like a tard... :bigyello:

You can't delete threads, as that goes against what this place is about (the majority of site usage is finding solutions in existing threads).

What we would prefer is that you reply to the thread with an explanation of the solution - as that will help others who have a similar problem later.
