I haven't seen it yet, but I'm going to next week. Are there any disgusting parts? like people being eaten?
Hi All. It's 10:30 here and I am pulling an all-nighter. As for the movie....
I haven't seen it yet, but there is a guy that works in the movie theater part-time here, and he has told me some interesting stuff. Last Friday night, a guy was so grossed out that he got up to leave the theater. He had a heart attack on his way out the door. He went into shock after that. On Saturday night, someone threw up in the theater because the movie made them sick. It must be a really interesting movie!
Wow!
I heard that an actress that played in the movie had to go through therapy because she kept having nightmares or something.
Ahow !.. Seems I should definitely avoid seeing the movie..
I already have a feeble heart beat !
There is a lot of gore... i was bothered by the movie..but not by all the blood and gore..but the way hannibal killed his victims...disturbing..
I will ruin one part though ;) the way hannibal goes about the labotomy of ray liota's character!! creepy!!! yet funny in a sick way..heh
I saw the movie the night it came out and it was a good movie. But I think the story is not there...it's more gory than psychological like the first one. Still it is good, especially the music (like the piano at the beginning played by Antony Hopkins himself!!). I recommended it if you want to learn on how sick cannibals can be...but it's not that great...lots of movies are better(Like Snatch or Traffic) If you want other critics, ask me! I work in a theater and I saw practicly all the movies that are playing in theater right now :)
The book is absolutley awsome.
So I'm probably going to be slightly dissapointed when See the film. Theres only ever been one film that has impressed me as much as the book, and that's the green mile
I saw Hannibal on Valentines Day ( how romantic - huh?) I t was very good and a rather gory although only the end bit really got me feeling icky. I agree though that it lacks the pschological thrill of the first film. Still it was definitely worth going to see.
hi Ellie

Ianpbaker: I read the book too and I can tell you really be ready to be disappointed. The ending in the book was 10000x better than the movie. Plus they left out a lot of important things that should have been in the movie that weren't.
As for the movie, the violence and blood was cool. But I thought the story was retarded at best. I did not think it was that great. Maybe it was because I read the book first.
I also did not think the violence was that high on the scale. Other than the part that jeff said it was mostly tame violence. Even that part was not that bad. I have seen worse in other movies.
Wirral is close to Liverpool. You know the song "Ferry Cross the Mersey"? Well if you get the ferry from Liverpool you cross the river to the Wirral peninsula. It is quite pretty in places, with lots of countryside areas etc. Very suburban in parts. It is separated from North Wales by the River Dee. (Geography lesson Over!)
I still haven't seen the movie, but someone told me about a part to do with the brain. I won't say anthing else, because I don't want to give it away, but is that true that this part is in the movie? (From what I've been told, you'd remember it if you'd seen the movie.)
yes its true
Gross!!!
Gross?!?! naaaa cool :)
Very KeWL part with the brain :)
The part with the brain is cool. Especially when hannibal cooks it and the guy with the half open head eats his own brain. Not to mention the part when some guy's guts and testicles fall thru his "badly cut" croch.
