[RESOLVED] Recommended Book for 70-536 exam
Hi everyone,
I am just starting the VB .NET Microsoft certification and would really need your opinion.
I have seen a lot of complaints regarding Microsoft's Traning book for the 70-536 exam (MCTS Self-Paced Training Kit (Exam 70-536): Microsoft® .NET Framework 2.0 Foundation).
Does anyone have a better book to recommend for this exam please? Please note that I am a VB6/.NET beginner so I have to start studying from stratch.
Thanks a lot in advance

Microsoft recommends that prior to taking any exam you have a minimum of two years hands on experience with the subject matter.
Do you?

No problem about that.
I just want to ask about any book recommendations.
But thanks for your feedback anyway.

Re: Recommended Book for 70-536 exam
I read MCTS Self-Paced Training Kit (Exam 70-536): Microsoft® .NET Framework 2.0 Foundation. It will get you 60-70% of the way there. Unfortuneately, the remaining is more obscure things that the book doesn't cover and you don't really encounter much (at least I didn't) in the real world. The MeasureUp practice exams helped cover the remaining items and I passed it the first time I took it. I had 3.5 years of experience when I took it (more if you count college). However, MeasureUp costs quite a bit of money (around $100), so I hope you can have your employer cover it for you.
