That move is pretty cool
But I don't really have a favorite. There are so many I like. Right now I am watching 'The Tradgedy Of Romeo & Juliet' so far it seems pretty good(I'm at the famous balcony scene).
Saving private ryan..
Matrix all the way
The Matrix is way, way, WAY overrated. It's a good film yeah, but all these people who say it's the best movie ever... they're just looking at the special effects. take away the effects, and it's pretty shallow. Still a good film though.
It's too hard to say what my favourite is. Perhaps Leon. Or Seventh Samurai.
I've never seen Seventh Samuri, but I agree that Leon is a damn good movie. Great effects, it has violence, and a great ending. Depending on how you look at it, it can be good, or bad.
Even if you take all the special effects away from the Matrix... its still a pretty good movie. It makes you think of everything from a diffrent angle. and it has a great story line (and script).
Yeah like I said, it's still a pretty good movie.... but the best? Nahh.
Dennis - get Seventh Samurai out on video. It's black and white, but it's a classic and really well directed.
Ok Harry, next time I go to the rental place, I'll get it. What genre is it under?
Monty Python and The Holy Grail
hehehehe... subliminal Cheese messages in your avatar...
Natural Born Killers or anything by Kubrick (except Eyes Wide Shut)
Very good PJB ;) Was watching that same movie earlier this evening actually.
Seventh Samurai is probably under action or something like that. If you ask the people in the shop they ought to know it.
Ok Harry, was just wondering because I was look for Leon in the action section for about an hour. But turned out it was under Drama.
what subliminal cheese message, have no clue what your referring to...
No wonder I was at the store last night around 4:20 am buying Cheese! Damn You!! :p
That wasn't PJB, that was cheese itself drawing you in. mmmmm cheese....
dennis does that mean there is no limit to how many cheese sandwiches you'll eat off the floor?? ;)
My Favourite is You've Got M@il
An Excellent Movie..
The Particuar Scene Where Tom Hanks goes to Meg's House to present her flowers.. Is Superb.
Man... This movie made me a Fan of Meg Ryan.
How sweet she is ...

If You are Wondering Whether I saw Matrix,.GODZilla,...
Kind of Stuff...Yes...They are Nothing But CRAP.
If they're just normal sandwiches, I can't eat ver many, but I can't get enough cheese sandwiches. And whoever puts them on the floor should be kicked someplace. ;)Quote:

1: Bladerunner
2: Jean de Florette (a tale of a man's gradual downfall)
3: Bullit (Purely for the coolest intro & music ever)
4: Leon definately gets a mention (thanks for the reminder Harry)
That I've seen lately, I'd have to say 'Fight Club'. Excellent stuff.
I think that HarryW is underestimating the Matrix. It wasn't just the special effects that made it an all time classic, it was the way it cut right across all genres and appealed so many different people on many different levels.
OK, perhaps not the best movie ever but definitely up there. Can't wait for the sequals.
Agreed, Fight Club was excellent. Nice twist at the end.
I thought he was good in Snatch also...
How about Top Secret, or Airplane, now there's some classic stuff...
Elmo's World: Babies, Dogs, and More
....No, just kidding....
I would have to say 'Speed'.
Sandra Bullock is the best actress ever.
(Her co-star didn't hurt either.)
That I am very fond of the british films 'Lock Stock' and 'Trainspotting'.
One of Tarantino's films should be up there as well although I'm not sure which...
I really cant decide..i have seen so many good movies...
I wont say *one* best movie that i have seen..but i will say the best movies i have seenso far..but i am going to see hannibal on sunday so there might be another movie added to this list ;)
1)Saving private ryan
2)Pulp fiction
3)The forbidden zone
4)Terminator 2
5)Matrix
6)Fight club
7)American beauty ( baddass movie! )
American Beauty, now that is a *****ing good movie.
Must be a guy thing...I HATED American Beauty.....a total waste of my time...it's not that I didn't care for it...I absolutely wanted to throw something at the screen....
Weird............
Mine has got to be Goodfellas, an absolutely classic film.
What's American Beauty about?
I've never seen it.
A pathetic old man that's life is just crap, his wife is horrible, his kids, job, everything is crap.. so he tries to fix it by fantasizing about this teenage girl but can't quite get that right either...AWFUL, AWFUL movie!!
But as you can see that's not the popular opinion.
I can't add too much of an opinion towards it, as I've never seen it. But an old man fantasizing about a teenage girl is just sick. But I've heard it's a great movie by a lot of people.
I know a lot of people who just loved it......not only people here.....It just really hit me wrong. I guess you'd have to ask someone who liked it for a more objective opinion........
I felt the same way about The Election.......which other people thought was hilarious.........I thought it was CRAP!
hmmmm.... my girlfriend and my mother watched that movie together not to long ago and they both loved it, I can't comment on it as I was around the bonfire getting drunk ;)Quote:

Most of the movies I watch are pretty good. I can't seem to recall many bad movies I've seen. But one that keeps sticking in my head is Home Alone III, the first two movies were great, but number three is absolute ****.
I can't explain it....maybe I just don't understand why someone would put up with a crap relationship and not do anything CONSTRUCTIVE to fix it???
I know a lot of people who liked it as I said.....it just wasn't my cup of tea.
I can explain why some guys would, but I don't think I have to. ;)Quote:

But in some crap relationships, the guy might not even have that reason. That's what I really don't understand.
True I think those usually come down to cash or kids.
