In the Philippines it has always been 13 types of fruit, 13 types of food, 13 types of drink.
There's also 13 types/pieces of fireworks (or any fireworks) to be lighted on midnight today.
Polka dotted bottoms is a must.
Don't ask me the reasons.
Oh not to mention 13 pieces of a coin to be jingled in your pockets on midnight.
So you lot should do this too.

I kind of miss fruit salads the day after.

I have always loved buko salad and pancit bihon, never fails.
