Let's have a religous or philisophical debate!
I think we have too many arguments and flame wars with those threads.........besides Gen-X and VBasic aren't around today.
I want to add my 2 pence worth!
Those debates are all over and I want a new one!
Is everone debated out?
What would you like to debate???
All this coming from a fried egg ;)
Maybe we should debate which came first the chicken or the fried egg.....
Let's debate on whether we should have fried eggs or scrammbled eggs for breakfast.....
How about poached eggs or hard-boiled??
I like all kinds of eggs.... I can't decide which ones are better :p
Before we go on talking about our breakfast stuffs... let's first fully reliaze that our breakfast is talking too us!!
I'd prefer fried chicken meself
Ick.. but in a weird way it is appealing .... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ;)
damnit Harry... now you've got me drooling..... I love fried chicken..
*drool* :p
food... i am so hungry..anything sounds delicous right now.. broccoli, carrots..hell even spinach... heh
There is a chilibean and a fried egg on this forum... all we need now is steak , bread, and orange juice to make a complete meal! heh ok i will shut up now.
Haven't you ever had fried chicken for breakfast? You're missing out, honestly ;)
Fried Chicken is great for breakfast. Pizza isn't that good though, it gives you heart burn for the rest of the day. Well unless your willing to drink that chalky crap ;)
But it wasnt that tastfull... now cold pizza in the morning rules :)
Yeah, I love pizza in the morning, but it makes you feel bad the rest of the day. It's worth it though ;)
Too bad you all don't have a Southern Grandmother to make you some fried chicken and some sweet tea!! :D
Not in the *down south* south..but the mid south i guess..arkansas.. and she is my *step-grandmother*
and she could make some good chicken and dumplings
I have a Texan grandmother (i guess that makes her western) and she makes awesome Chicken and Dumplings too. Here in the 'deep south' they call Chicken and Dumplings Chicken Pasty and they don't put the actual chicken in it, just the broth, weird.
The best fried chicken I've ever had is not from the 'deep south' of america but from the south west of England! In a town called Crediton.
Still I'm sure they took the idea from you americans.
Dennis - if cold pizza in the morning makes you feel bad, stick it in the microwave.
BTW: Curry's great for breakfast.
Cold garlic bread's good, especially just before a meeting.
I just noticed we have a Frugal Gourmet on site. Maybe we could talk him into making us a meal....you guys have made me hungry~
well this turned out to be an interesting thread anyways....
Somehow, I don't think this is quite what Fried Egg had in mind...
I bet they're just waiting for someone to say something remotely 'deep' and they will pounce.
Don't think it's going to be me though.
Deep dish apple pie! yummmmmmmmmmmm
Now you've done it...
I'm getting out of here.
Not to flaunt my (albeit feigned) culinary expertise and Southernhood, but I just can't accept the premise that British chicken of any sort could rival the crispiness, tenderness, and overall delectability of my mamma's special Southern Fried Chicken.Quote:

Next you'll be telling us the grits in Prague are second to none and the barbecue brisket in Rome is "to die for".
:)
Welcome Frugal! I thought this thread might interest you!
Why not indeed? Is there something wrong with British Chickens? OK, I know we don't pump our meat full of hormones (like you do in the states) but we have been cooking chickens for a long time here.Quote:

Still, maybe I should shutup until I've been over there and tried some.
"Experts" say there is nothing wrong with British or chickens idependently, but the two items combined can produce disastrous results.Quote:

Side effects are said to include witty claymation film scripts.
