New frameworks supports programs created using older frameworks?
The .net framework is steadily being updated, my question is, if a client only has FW 3.5 will the program created for FW 2.0 work on the client's machine or not? I have not tested yet so I am asking.

It'll work fine because .Net 3.5 doesn't have a CLR, it uses .Net 2.0 for that.

It would depend upon what code you write. If you use a function from 3.5 and the target computer only has 2.0 installed then that will fail.

My actual concern is the reverse, it is the backward compatibility of newer FrameWorks...

Yes, should be fine as things currently stand. If the framework was to change massivly like vb6-vb.net then you may have issues. Else your fine.
