Does anyone know of an eval class

Which evaluates a mathematical expression and is not part of a big package? Just a simple eval ie

blah.eval("6+(3*cos78)+7^2");

I think it has something to do with:

Converting the equation to postfix and then evaluating the postfix.

Any ideas?
