London Nintendo DS world record attempt Sat 25th Oct
My friend is organising this and needs people who own Nintendo DS to join in.
Also part of the London Games Festival Fringe and Girl gamers tournament so it should be fun.
Anyway here's his spiel.
"Hi
I'm from DS:London, we are a bunch of social gamers based in London. We are trying to organise a record attempt to get the most number of ds players. I was wondering if we could post on your board the following post:
To celebrate the London Games Festival, DS:London in association with the London Games Festival Fringe, will attempt to break the World record for the most number of people playing a DS at the same time. And we'd like you to help and join in.
Budding record-breakers should bring their Nintendo DS, nicely charged up, and their favourite games to the Rocket Center, Holloway Road, on Saturday 25th of October. We need 400 to 500 people to break the record, which stands at a humble 381. This is an official World record attempt with adjudication from Guinness on the day.
The day kicks off at 4pm for registration and pre attempt fun with the record attempt starting at 5pm and All members of the public are welcome. Young or old!
The gaming doesn't stop there – you'll have the chance to make new friends, play new games and, most important of all, have fun! Then after wards there will be a pub evening (over 18's only) and the odd bragging rights tournament.
To break the record, we'll need to play our DS consoles for five minutes non-stop – doesn't matter if it's in a linked game or not. Turn up no later than 5pm if you wish to take part in the record attempt.
We'll be joined on the day by the Girl Gamers Tournament and then there will be a pub quiz (over 18's only) in the evening. Time and resource allowing, we hope to have some other smaller events such as a raffle or maybe a tournament. Go to dslondonrecord.net to register on our mailing list for the latest information on what is happening or check out the Facebook event. http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=38650501981
This is a free event. We will have a collection on the day for voluntary cash donations that will go to Children In Need.

I have a Nintendo 64? I will come along, as long as he can provide a electric socket for me to plug into.

Can you make it look enough like a DS to fool the adjudicator from Guinness?
Re: London Nintendo DS world record attempt Sat 25th Oct
No, but I can club him with a copy of Vista Ultimate right in the eyes...
...that will make him blind, not from the impact, but when he sees the price on the box.

Lol, What if I bring my laptop and a DS emulator? Do they define a DS by hardware or software?
