[RESOLVED] Band Mypsace friends to excel spreadsheet

Hey guys,

I'm new to the programming world, but have spent a few years working as a tester for an unmentionally telemarketing software company in the UK.

Nether the less, I'm looking to get software developed!.. Will pay a reasonable amount for any help! Basically I want it to do this..

1.software opens a .txt file with a list of myspace friends i.ds.. so it'll look like..

You see, all myspace pages have a unique id associated with them. The list will be a compilation of upto and above 3000 unique codes obtained using external software.. So getting the IDs isn't the problem, it's this software being able to read it like so..

2a.Software visits each IDs page and retrieves the HTML source code. so the software does some sort of 'visit-->www.myspace.com/blahblahblahblah/[insert unique ID code here]' 'retrieve HTML source code'.

2b.Software then searches the source code for various parameteres LIKE
location, age, name, and so on.

3.software takes the unique ID and above parameters gathered from source code, and outputs it to some sort of excel spread sheet. So then the user can for exampe, group every myspace band fan from london to a group.

if the aforementioned band wish to play a gig in london, they can now message all their fans in london selectively without bothering anyone else.

it's selective and welcomes marketing i tell ya!
