Parah Salin is a spoonerism :)
Politically at least, the person on the left is about to go splat.
It is scary that a person like Sarah Palin can make it as far as she has.
Who is Sarah Palin? Why are my pants on my head? Why am I ingesting such large amounts of cough syrup in the form of a Flaming Homer?
I don't understand. What does a parachute have to do with anything?
Spoons heheh.Quote:

Well, it's not a golden parachute.
Because liberals instinctively attack anything they fear. Palin obviously scares them far more than McCain.Quote:

The next three weeks are going to be very interesting...
I think I figured it out. The swapped the P and the S... omg so clever.
Hence the spoonerism...Quote:

Really? Her rambling answers to interview questions form Couric doesn't scare you at all? Her inability to name a Newspaper she reads, even if she reads no newspapers, her inability to make one up on the spot doesn't scare you?Quote:

Really?
Conservatives are delusional. You'd follow the Republican Party line and rationalize McCain's VP pick even if he chose an Al-Queda member as his VP choice.

No. What scares me is the prospect of being governed by another Jimmy Carter.Quote:

I would? And you call me delusional? Whatever...Quote:

Polls, schmolls. They are nothing more than manufactured news. There's only one poll that matters. It is entirely possible that Obama will win, and it would be wise for everyone to be prepared for that outcome. But remember that every single pre-election poll taken for the last twenty years has shown the Democrat ahead of the Republican, yet only two elections turned out like the polls predicted.Quote:

If you are talking only about presidential elections in the last twenty years, there was 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000, and 2004. Of those five, the Democrats got a larger popular vote in three of them, and a fourth was so close it came down to the last presincts in the last state. So the polls, which cover the popular vote not the electoral vote, were right in three of the five, and within the margin of error on a fourth. So I guess the only one I am doubting you on is the 1988 election. I don't remember that one as being a particularly close election.
Bring back Nixon. He wasn't a crook, he said as much himself, and he'd know.
I disagree about your implication that Couric was hard on Palin. Couric seem to give fair and softball questions. The question about the bailout was I think very fail. Yet Palin gave a ridiculous rambling answer, worse than Ms America's rambling answer to a question about education.Quote:

What about all the nonsense Biden has said over the years, that's all slip of the tongue, forgivable stuff then? Besides, who formulates their "worldview" from newspapers and magazine articles, that's just a stupid question.
I agree it was a less than stellar interview, but big deal - it's Katie fricken Couric.
Yes. In 1988 George H. was at one point 16 points behind Dukakis in the polls and we all remember how that turned out.Quote:

I never implied anything. I simply stated that the opinions muttered by overpaid talking heads don't mean squat to me.Quote:

Well, that first link showed me nothing other than that my ISP has decided to hijack the search function and do so as ineptly as it does everything else. I guess it had to do with the deleted words in the link.Quote:

Some people feel that they did this on principle. I suspect they did it out of desperation: They couldn't comply with any requests for information, so they had to fall back on throwing whatever obstacles they could at the request.
On the other hand, they have screwed up in my favor almost consistently, which rather endears them to me.
