No, you are never automatically logged out.

Now I come to think of it, I updated to Firefox 3 a few months ago... maybe it was then that this thing began but I couldn't say for sure.
I use Fx 3.03 and don't have the same problem.. but it is possible that you have set it up to automatically delete your cookies (which is what logs you on next time you visit).
To check, go to "Tools"->"Options"->"Privacy", and check the settings under "Cookies" and "Private Data".
If you dont check 'Remember Me' then your login cookie will expire, thus logging you out.
This happens to me when i forget to check the Remember Me
That's probably because you're logged into http://www.vbforums.com and the link you clicked on was for http://vbforums.com, both are for the same DNS (same forum) but the web browser (that has the login cookie) sees them as two different sites.Quote:
