Welcome to the forums.
When you ran this code what happened? Did you get errors?
1. Do you have any specific reasons why you'd want to use a special DNS server?
2. Refer to hacks post :D
At first i did not implement any try...catch...end try, vb.net gave me an error "Unhandled socket exception" after I put in my fqdn xxxxx.domain.com
So I implemented the try...catch....end try error handler, and always gave me "Unknown error" after I put in my fqdn... Is my code incorrect? Thank you for your kind reply. :)
actually the servers are implemented by my company, these servers store all ips which map with the domain.
Btw i forgot to thank Hack for your cordial welcome :) Thank you very much.
If you'll be running this application at your company, you probably wont have to specify to use the companys DNS servers, as it'll most likely use those anyway. Speak with your network administrator to be sure.

Ah alright. Well, let us know how it works in your company.
