I need an external monitor for my laptop because this screen is just too small (14" widescreen with a max resolution of 1280x768).
What is a good choice for <$200? I've been shopping around, but everything seems overkill for a computer that only supports a max res. of 1280x768.
it only supports 1280 x 768 because that's all the screen shows. A monitor will be able to show higher resolutions.
If you look up your graphics card on the manufacturers website, you can probably find out what the maximum resolution is.Quote:

Thanks. I believe the max resolution of the card is 1680x1050.
