crystal report pagefooter suppress

i want to hide pagefooter a for all pages except first page so i hv written code on suppress event but it has one problem it gets suppressed for all pages (except first page) but space allocated remains same, so what to do ?

Try setting the option to Underlay Following Sections on the Section Format dialog.

I've done several reports where the first several pages have a Page Footer A show up and the last page has Page Footer B. You can conditionally set PFa to show only on the first page and set PFb to be so narrow with nothing in it that it shows very little.

still its not working

I went back and checked my reports with two page footers. Each PFa shows on all pages but the last page and PFb shows only on the last page. PFa has the underlay sections set but PFb does not.

Have you considered switching the order?
