Hey, ok this is my problem, or what I want to do, I know it may be stupid, but can you please try to help me with it or point me in the right direction.

In Visual Basic 6 I want to make a program that will let me look at all the packets comeing into my computer. Possably with the capability to stop those packets I dont want. For example, say someone connects to me, or say I am useing Aol Instant messenger. I would want to be able to read the packet befor it got to Aol Instant messenger. So if I knew It was comeing from someone I did not like, just dont even let the packet from that person get close to my computer. Understand what I am saying?

I would also like to be able to tell what website and IP address's I am connected to. And possably their ping times ect, maybe their trace routs too. I would also like to be able to block IP addresses from connecting to me, know when people connect to me, and how they connect, sort of like a firewall but writen in Visual Basic. Any Ideas?
