The program might have cause the problem! Close the file then reopen it. If you have another program that is capable of opening that type of file use it to check that the file is ok.
If it is the file that is corrupt then revert back to an earlier save!
What did you use to create or modify the file? Could it be some kind of padding or something?
MSDN Help File? Might be corrupted.
It just a world file,
but i use to open in wordPad and save quik notes related to vb.
last time i open, 75% of the doc have replaced with \ as specified in the picture.
Hwo can revert to an old save date as i specifed by the Nightwalker83 ?
Can't you just delete the \ characters and resave it?
hm not sure mendhad. i normally copy and past thing form not only msdn, and for articles also. so the text that word pad contain form many many soruces.Quote:

i am pretty sure that you cannot open Word Documents in WordPad. They are two totally different programs. WordPad used the .rtf extension and Word used .doc/.docx

No its not. Its proprietary binary formatted so its not readable at all only by Word. :rolleyes:
