Well anhn VB was originally made for DOS but it didn't catch on. So M$ made VB1, VB2, VB3, VB4, VB5 and VB6 all for Windows.
Now the best place to buy VB that I have found is aBay. I've bought VB3, VB4 of eBay. But don't expect to find it straight off you my have to search for weeks with the older versions.
Why do you want the DOS version anyway. Most OS are Win2k\XP\Vista which don't have DOS. ;)

Ah! Do you think I don't know "Visual Basic for DOS" was made for DOS? Why waste your time to explain that?
Do you think you has the longest experience with VB of 14 years?
I have only one month experience to work with VB.
I don't want to buy any of them. If you give me that version, my house has no place to put it. I posted that because I see that is a rare thing and a bit of funny too with the price of $895.

That's not really correct. VB1 was made for Windows and was released before the DOS version came out....
How can you have used VB for 14 years if you started with VB4? VB4 was released in October 1995... That's less than 13 years ;)

So this topic is a waste of time then.

I had VB4 on my last IBM computer which I bought in 1993. I was using QBasic at that time. I then moved on to VB4 but I was only guessing on the year, sorry again. ;)
