synergy

synergy is a program that lets 2 or more computers share 1 mouse/keyboard. they also share a clipboard. sadly i cant share files when i copy them. i would also like to find a program that shares the desktop so you can just drag a file from comp1's desktop to comp2's desktop. so does anyone know of a program that lets you share files in the clipboard and share a desktop?

you have a better option. since you are sharing one mouse/keyboard between two computers, you can use a KVM switch. It's hardware therefore no system slowdowns from memory usage, etc. Then you can network the computers together and have a shared folder for common data. This method won't give you a shared clipboard, but there are 3rd party apps that give you that if you really have to have it. Here's one example:
