Trigonometrical functions help!!!

Hi,

I need to use trigonometrical functions (sine,cosine, and tangent) in vb.net and i have no idea where to start. I need to find the length of (adjacent, opposite, and Hypotenuse). I'm lost when it comes to maths. :( Any examples, tutorials(links) to this would be helpful.
