what font is this?

I have been tasked with trying to find out what font this is, and all I have to go by was a fax, that I then scanned.

Anyone have an idea what font this might be?

the best match i was able to come up with so far (based on the fonts I have installed) was "Engravers MT" with a horizontal strech of about 150%

Didn't give me a valid result when I tried it. I have an email into the guy who needs this to see if engravers works ok for them...

If you came here seeking a font of wisdom, you R surely disappointed. Though I am a man of letters, I tend to just letter B. What R you looking for might be Engraved, though you were stating just the fax, what A R this B, U C?

I tried a few MS Office applications and Word has it that it may be

Adobe Caslon Pro Bold
Baskerville Old Faced
Goudy Old Style
High Tower Text
Minion Pro
Wide Latin


But they'd match if there were more horizontalstretching.

Here was my result with Engravers MT stretched to 150% horizontal

The guy was fine with this as the result, so I guess case closed.
