Security Warning when opening access
I am running access 2003.
I have two questions.
1) Why is it I always get the Security Warning message when I open my Access database saying
Opening "C:\filename.mdb"
This file may not be safe if it contains code that was intended to harm your computer. Do you want to open this file or cancel the operation?
Is there any way to stop this message from popping up?
2) Whenever I create a database in my Access 2003 it keeps creating it in Access 2000 format. Why is that?
Re: Security Warning when opening access
To get rid of all the annoying messages in Access 2003 startup-
Tools-->Macros-->Security Level tab and click on LOW.
You could also use SelfCrt.exe to create a digital certificate and have Access use that. See HELP "About Digital Signitures" and "Create your own digital certificate".
Let me check the 2nd question for you...
Re: Security Warning when opening access
Under options Advanced change the Default File Format to Access 2002-2003
