it's possible to install VB6 on the USB pen-drive ?
If you run your OS off of that drive then yes - all dlls must be registered with the system. :)

First of all, do you run your OS off of the pen-drive?

Applications like Visual Basic contain many components and vast majority of them need to be registered in System Registry.
Unless your system is installed on the pen-drive your application will get registered elsewhere.
Setting destination folder somewhere on your pen-drive doesn't mean application is actually installed there - setup will copy all files there only but system registry will still exist elsewhere.
OK.
Then..the solution of my problem is to install WinXP on pen-drive and after install VB6 on pen-drive.
It's true ?
Why on earth would you want to install vb6 on the pen drive? A pen drive is really only useful for transporting files. A computer has a hard disk for an Operating system.
Moved to General DeveloperI didn't want to, but I've been waiting for someone to ask this question. :)Quote:

If you don't want to go through all that though, you could simply install visual studio on both computers, one at a time, with the pen drive listed as the target install drive. It would overwrite itself on the 2nd install but that doesn't matter.
