... Internet Explorer 8 Beta

You jsut now heard about this? I first heard about it probably a month ago. Sickening, isn't it?
They continue to persist though which is good i guess, never be as good as FF or Opera though.
sigh. Another pointless thread about FF vs IE.
Can't we talk about Shaggy's socks instead?
Or Mendhak's smoking addiction?
Or OB's addiction to cookies?
Oh this isn't an FF vs IE thread, that fight was resolved long ago (FF won :D)

FF went down the crapper a long time ago. IE will always win over any other browser easily :p

I checked out IE8 before on a VM and it looks and feels a lot like IE7
I didn't get to mess around too much, but I will tomorrow when I have more time.
Oh no what? This is good news. Anything that further washes the abomination that was Internet Explorer 6 and older from the seas of the web can only be positive.Quote:
Oh no...
I don't expect it to look or feel any differently from IE 7. This is primarily a rendering engine update.
Is it fully standards compliant?
No. Nothing is or will ever be. The majority of web standards are esoteric and irrelevant.
4 out of 5 web developers know that.
And those same 4 probably don't follow most of the standards themselves.
Well after just testing IE8 my level of dissapointment has dropped even lower. Half my sites aren't rendering properly :(Quote:

What's that? Oh, yes. Yes indeed. That document has been released by the W3C.
Oh no... is apt, from cutting edge to bleeding edge in 10 mins flat. :(
Bow to the power of XHTML! And grimace at the stupid, stupid legacy compromise called XHTML Transitional.
I hope IE 8 supports Web 2.0.
 Well stated.Quote:

We wouldn't want a couple dozen people in northern siberia missing out on the interweb revolution,
But according to the W3C, development for Pre-98 machines is irrelevant and stupid.Quote:
