Re: Color LaserJet Printer
A couple of years ago I bought my wife a small HP Color InkJet that she just loves. I know she does envelopes although I'm not sure about the window kind (I forgot to ask her when I sent her the email about the printer - I couldn' remember what the heck it was that I bought her :D )
She can't remember the model number however, but if you are looking for something small, and reasonably priced that has pretty darn good color printing capabilities, I would look at the HPs.
Re: Color LaserJet Printer
Me too, used a HP InkJet color printer. Not bad. Low price as well as low maintain cost. HP has wast collection of color printers.
Re: Color LaserJet Printer
mrstuff68,
I guess ALL Laser printers will provide you a lot of heat, without a possibility to reduce this heat... It needs this heat to print...
What I can sugest, is the same of the others... Buy a InkJet, I prefer Epson, cos its great quality of printing and durability... I had a Stylus Color 800 for 4 years and it worked great, without any problems, now I have a Stylus Color C63, for a couple of years, its working without problems too...
But, If you need to print a lot, well, you will need a laser printer (the cost x benefits will be bigger).
Just a (silly) question:
if you print window envelopes why don't you print the address in a paper to be showed in it's window ?
Ok, if you print a logo it's not possible, this way, I suggest InkJet printer...

I agree with this 100%. Laser jets use heat to print. And if you are printing on the plastic you are defeating the purpose of a window. Print on the insert!

This is good to hear Sandra, thank you.
The printer we have is getting a little long in the tooth and my wife is thinking about replacing it, and we were looking at the 1600. It sounded good, but we didn't know anyone that actually had one. I will pass along your comments. Thanks again. :)
