Does anyone know if it is possible to create and then restore an image of a Vitual PC Session? I just created an XP Session and if it gets corrupted I don't want to start from scratch again.
Thanks

I would like to catch up with you - where did you get the download and where did you install it?
I've been wanting to using Virtual PC for some time now.
Steve
You can get it from Microsoft and get this it is FREE!!
and as for catching up to me, Steve I would have to drive about 1,000,000 miles just to be in same country as you ;-)
Go Giants!
So - where did you install this - on your workstation or on a server?
Any hints or odd choices I need to make during install? Can I put this on my laptop?
Yes, Go Giants!
You can install it on your desktop or laptop. The installation is pretty simple, the only decisions you need to make are how much disk space you are going to allocate to each session. Other than that, it basically creates another computer on your computer. If you install a rouge program in one of the sessions all you have to do is to delete it and start over. In an earlier version of Virtual PC (2004 I think) I had a Win 95, Win 98SE, WinMe sessions that I used for software testing. Unless you have mega amounts of memory and disk space I won't recommend more than two sessions.
Just enable undo disk for that 'session'...Quote:
