Recently I have been trying to send messages that are longer than 2000 characters (I have a lot to talk about!). Could this limit get raised? It's starting to get annoying having to delete some stuff out of a PM I write :(.

Dont keep the previous quoted conversations in your replies. If you dont uncheck the "Save copy to sent idtems folder" then the history of the conversation will be retained so no real need to retain the previous reply quotes in your reply.
If its just that you are "talking" alot then break it up into two or more PMs.
I quote it not only for me, but the person getting the PM as well in case they are unclear of what I am talking about. It's just common curtsey for me :).Quote:

Well I guess if you have a real lengthy conversation then it would be inconvient but we should be hearing from the admins if they could bump it up a bit or not. If others chime in too with this need it would still need some amount on increase designated. If they bump it to 3 or 4 thousand it may still not be enough for some as you can never please eveeryone.
Current length of PMs is a result of bumping it up in the past. ;)
If your talking in PMs that are longer than that limit, then you might want to consider a public converstation or taking the conversation to email as you've obviously gone beyond simple private messaging on a forum.
Brad!
I think he is trying to say - take the relationship to the next stage :DQuote:

If you have that much to say, send an email :).Quote:

Brad!
I would definately support that. Anything over a couple or three sentences should be in an email.Quote:

While on PM's, is there a reason why you can't send attachments?
Because a Forums site is a Public site for SHARING information. If you have code or files to send then it should be in the public forums unless its something that would violate the AUP and then it should be done off the forums/site.
If you need to send attachments or a novels length of text then you should be emailing it instead anyways.
You could always encrypt your posts and post them in Chit Chat :D Go on - it'll give us all a challenge.
The forum software doesn't support it.Quote:
