[Resolved]New PSU
I am thinking of upgrading my dell dimension 4500. One of the upgrades is to add this video card: http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16814130062. Im not sure if the standard dell psu (250W) can power that card and an extra 160g hdd with the stock hdd. Does anyone know if that psu is compatable with the dell. Also do you think i will even need a new psu? Here is the Psu im thinking about: http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16817255009
Edit: the card says it needs a minimum of 350W so im guessin the old one wont work.

Re: New PSU
250W wont be sufficient. As the spec says it requires 350W power supply.
Btw,,Beryl can run on this at full spec :)

Re: New PSU
dell power supplies look exactly like regular power supplies, but most of (actually as far as i know, ALL of) the recent models use a proprietary wiring pattern so you can't use a 3rd party power supply in them. If you plug it into the Dell motherboard, it fries it.
