I've been looking to get a new desktop box in the 600-700 dollar range. I've noticed the boxes with AMD's usually have a FSB speed of @ 2000Mhz and the Intel's are usually @ 800Mhz. Seems like a big performance edge to AMD.
Does AMD have the edge?

Well there are other things to consider besides the FSB. Are we talking about the cpu fsb or mobo? If cpu then you also have to take in the L2 cache and any multi core cpus. Intel cpus are 1,000 now normally.
You can use the cpu comparison charts at http://tomshardware.com for more dtailed comparisons.
I don't know if it was cpu or mobo, the spec sheet just said FSB.
Rob, thanks for the link.
AMD chips are also cheaper at the moment if you are building it yourself, so consider your 'Bangs per Buck'
